I am having REAL issue with my water level and the pond had Dropped is size significantly. I went to feed the fish for the first time since this fall. They were moving slowly but managed to eat a WHole 50 lb bag at one sitting. Is it OK to feed in the winter and why are the moving so slow?

Usually when water temps drop below 60�F, feedeing warm water fishes is suspended. It's been said that warm water fish have a harder time digesting pellets in relatively cold water. Actually, I would recommend it. Metabolism doesn't totally stop with the cold fronts. It may slow down or they might temporarily suspend feeding. I wouldn't throw out as much as you do in the summer.
