White catfish. Are they the same as the Albino??

There were 5 in my catfish stocking. They did not have red eyes like I think of as an albino. Only had 2 regularly coming to the feed in the summer so I guess the others got eaten by birds or whatever.

I have had both, with pink eyes and some without. Easy target for pond birds for sure.

No, white catfish are not the same as albino catfish.

I've always wanted a few albino cats in my pond as a novelty, but decent size ones to stock dont seem that easy to come by. per catmandoo: " White catfish are different than albino catfish. Albino catfish are mutants of channel catfish, and except for being albino, they have the same charateristics as channel catfish. White catfish have somewhat different head and body shapes, and they don't get as large as channel cats.
