I had quite a few turtles crawl out on the bank this year and die? Not sure why? I have too many turtles and so i'm not sad but concerned when anything in the pond dies and I don't know why. I have not had a fish kill of any kind as far as I know. Has anyone else had this happen? These are red eared sliders.

Huh that's od.. I would think its not a good sign but I don't know.. I've read frogs, and tadpoles can die first in bad conditinsbut never heard of turtles and one dying here and there is even more od now if 20 died in a week I'd be extremely worried.. Just keep an eye on it and don't stress yet..

James, I understand your concern. I don't think I have ever seen that.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Might be a good time to get your water tested, and include metals. I would think turtles would be less susceptible to diseases than fish.
Let us know what you find out.
