Went fishing for crappie at my neighbor's largest pond this afternoon. Water was freezing but it didn't keep the fish from biting with a slow presentation with a tandem rigged salmon Trout Magnet on an ultralight. Thought I hooked into a sunken log until the drag started screaming. Manage to land this fat 4lb LMB.
Caught about two dozen BC, a small YP, and a pretty HBG.

What? no photo of the HBG??? Those darn LMB get all the good press......

If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1) And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1) Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT? PB answer: It depends.
That's a nice looking LMB. If you catch any that are larger, I'd advise against holding them that way - you can hurt (read that as damage) the fish. Use 2 hands to support them. Larger LMB have had their jaw broken, and the damage doesn't show up until months later.
