scum ?
Hi all!
Here are some pictures of some type of scum in my pond today. Recent history: aireator pump was weak (put new one today), I cut grass around the pond four days ago which left plenty debris in the pond. Also I pumped four inches of water from the well about four or five days ago. I would like to know if any of these could cause this scum problem. it is very thick, almost like paint. Is this something I should worry about and what could I do about it.

Do you think it is washed in material ? It looks like dead algae/plankton blown up by the wind. Mix it up and see if it goes away.

If you mix it up some of it stays on the stick and some sinks. and it could not have washed in because i have leveys all around the pond. HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Hi again, I went to the pond and mixed some of the scum in a small bucket. i'm attaching more pictures, some of it sank and some floated but it did not dissolve. and if i smash it in my hand, it kind of makes a greenish slime. Thanks again. Danny
