Fish learn, and some will remember. A number of years ago I bucket stocked my pond with a white 1" curly tail grub and a 1/100th oz jighead. I couldn't catch a BG on that combo in my pond even a year later. Change the color and they'd hit.

Ice fishing jigs and an ice fishing bobber on ultralight spinning tackle is a great way to catch finicky fish.
