Are you adding HSB or pure striped bass? I wonder how much true striped bass would help keep LMB populations in check. I tend to think, as a mostly open water predator they wouldn't help that much. Now maybe they could be useful in keeping a gizzard shad population controlled.
I'm going to be adding pure striped bass.I wonder too but in time I'm going to find out
What I do know is how they tend to feed in the wild from fishing for them over the years and gizzard shad would be ideal imo for them.Just not a option in my bow.
I should also add this is solely for some fun and research,and not a lmb management tactic.With that said I think after they mature and adapt,they will surely smash a few lmb
