Outfitting a new pond before I fill. Can anyone tell me about how much weight is needed to hold down a typical size pallet? And I prseume if you hook three together, you will need 3 times the weight ?

About a cinder block should do it for each.

Or you could just use a pile of cinder blocks instead of pallets.
They sink pretty good on their own LOL.
Reality is constantly ruining my life.

A lot. See if you can stake and tie them down. After time they will water log and stay down.

I've noticed that after a year in the water they are mostly waterlogged and sunk.
