If you want to thin out the GS, they do it here by lightly treating lakes with Rotenone. The GS are susceptible to Rotenone at levels that do not affect the other fish.
Northern LMB won't grow large enough to prey on adult GS.
The last gill net survey that the DNR did on a local lake showed over 60% of the biomass in the lake was GS. The next largest % was common carp.
