We are planning to add walleye to our 8 acre pond which has a set population of LMB, BG, CC, and many others. A couple years ago, a shad population has arrived and have settled into the ecosystem and we have a little trouble controlling them they have gotten to big for the LMB. Are the shad enough of a diet fish for the walleye or should we add another fish?
P.S. Walleye were recommended to be an addition to our pond by the Nebraska Fish and Game commisioner.
