Last year Governor Perry declared October "kill a Hog Month" If you read further on Texas parks and wildlife's sites, you will see the liberal allowances they afford everyone to get rid of the feral hogs.
In short, I believe your game warden would be very happy with you getting rid of the pests. Mine sure does.
