That is a big fish especially for only being stocked in May. Do any of your Tilapia survive over the winter? This is my first year having them, but I am sure they will not. My water temp reaches 45 degrees in winter, and they won't survive in water colder than 55 degrees is what I'm told. They are very prolific and would take over a pond if allowed to overwinter. There just a management tool for FA, and providing forage. We will really start harvesting them heavily in Sept.
