In one of the last PB magazine issues, I read that catfish are more nocturnal.
Do your catfish have a deeper hole to hide in during the day?
Maybe try the seining at night?
Make sure to get good video! It could be a hoot!
Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:" "She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."

They are there but I think they are escaping through the 8 inches of mud in bottom. I got all the bluegill flatheads and pumkinseeds. Only got 8 catfish. We are going bank to bank at this point.

The seine should be taller than the water is deep. Make sure the bottom of the seine is moved first, creating a belly in the seine. The CC will swim up and won't be able to go down thru the net and out unless they swim way in front of the net.
If pulled slow enough, you might not have to pull on the top of the seine at all. You don't want to pull it fast enough to pop the bottom mud line up off the bottom, or make the top of the seine go underwater.

What kind of seine do you have? What size cats? I seined all of mine recently. I have a 100 X 8' with 1" holes and caught 8 to 13 lb cats.

Been there done that. Seining is an art and gets better with practice. I hear Lusk can work magic with a seine as he's had a lot of practice.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.
