ozarkstriperscom O Joined: Feb 2011 Posts: 329 Mansfield, mo	I would say it is Rose Mallow, A wild variety of hibiscus. It has not been invasive in my pond. I have only for two springs though. It probably depends a lot on your climate and soil type, but mine gets up to a grand height of 6" or so. In the wild with better soil I have seen some pretty impressive plants.

I've never grown it in a pond so I do not know if it is rampant. It likely does not grow deeper than 3ft.
