Cecil,
I'll be locating the falls on the north side of a hill where they will constantly be in the shade and set back into the hill to take advantage of the cooler earth. There will be some experimenting and night operation may be the best for cooling. I do know if properly done and there's enough airflow, the best I could expect is 10 deg. drop in water temp. It will vary depending on relative humidity & how much wind we have. I'm planning on 3 waterfalls for now.
