Be forwarned the following is only my opinion.
I intend to do something similar in my pond only using waterfalls instead of a fountain. Only one of the falls will be readily visible & I will dress it up a bit but their main purposes will be to induce trout to spawn & provide areation for the eggs. However I intend to pull water from the deepest part of the pond & pump to the falls. It is my belief this will improve oxygen levels in the deepest water & help cool the water in the summer. I can build the falls for maximum air contact which should provide some areation.
Most of the guys in the know aren't going to comment on an experimental system such as you have in mind on an open forum. They know the ins & outs of the systems they work with & I'm sure have enough to deal with without adding something off the wall. That's not to say no-one is intrested. My advise: Make it. Apply it. Take some very good readings & post results here. That's what I intend to do.
I think your idea will work. But as I said it's just my opinion.
