Did not have a scale with me....

was throwing an 8 inch striper bait and this smallie grabbed on. Was not much of a fight on my striper stick but I am pretty sure this is my biggest smallie ever. Did not have a scale with me so I measured her and turned her back. 21 1/8 long. Any guess's on the weight of this fish?

Standard weight for that length of SMB is 5 lbs 9 oz. It looks fairly plump so 5.6lbs is close. Nice fish too bad you did not catch in on an ultralight.

You aint kiddin Bill, That would have been one heck of a battle...They had all three generators going. That smallie in that current on an ultra light would have been some kind of fun. Thanks for the info on the weight. There were a few other fisherman there and 5.5-6lbs was the general consensus. Almost wish I would have kept it to go on the wall.

Nice fish amigo! Get a replica, nice work releasing that trophy so another fisherman can make a dream come true. Nicely done.
