Thanks guys. Mike called. The next 24 hr will tell the tale. His dad is very swollen, kidneys and liver started to shut down. Everything looked great after they put in the aux. pump and closed him up @ 4:00 p.m., but things went downhill quick after that. They opened him up again and the only thing that they can think of is that the swelling made the sternum press on the heart. They're leaving him open to see if that turns things around.

I'll keep everyone updated if Mike doesn't log on today.
