How about your little floating island? Did you take advantage of the downtime to recondition it? That thing's been through so many winters and always come back well and I think most of us look forward to seeing pics of how it does from year to year!

The island is still doing fine, it's flexible so the ice doesn't seem to bother it, the cattail seeds found their way to it by themselves. I'm not doing anything cause I want to see how long it will last

Yeah, in the spring I put the plywood over a section between 2 boulders that had lost dirt and recessed inward about 2 ft., I then filled the space between the wood and dam with dirt to see if it would affect the leak much, it did slow down a little but the damage under the dam was too great and I had to bite the bullet and have a guy come in to rip up the dam, repack and widen it.
Later this week I'll find out how much the cost is, if you don't hear from me afterwards that means I had a heart attack. laugh
