Highflyer, The pond is about 1 acre in surface area. I believe the max depth after it is full, will be between 18-20 feet deep in a area 50x20 then it steps up to 14-16 feet. There are a couple intermintent holes that drop back down to 20 feet, but they are maybe 10x10. The complete diffuser aeration systems are what I think is best for a new clay pond, BUT at this point in the project, being OVER budget has caused me to re-evaluate. My wife sure is patient........Did I mention I was WAY over budget?
