I'm about to break ground on my first pond. It will be roughly 1/4 acre. Rectangle around 10 foot deep. it will be for cc and maybe Bg and maybe a few LMB. I was told that it Was best to dig it in a bowl shape for cc. Will this have any effect on other fish or can it be dug with sides steeper. Also what would the holding capacity of this pond if I feed.

Shape doesn't matter, unless you are building bigger and want to incorporate humps, channels, etc. in the pond. Carrying capacity will depend on water quality, aeration, feeding, etc. http://forums.pondboss.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=92440#Post92440
