unclefish Lunker U Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 32 KT, Texas	I live on a 4.5 acre pond that has alot of CC's. This week I have started feeding Aquamax with good results. On day 2 the CC's started eating on top. Some are over 5 pounds....but most are from 2-4 pounds. My goals are to not only feed the fish to help them grow but to be able to catch them while they are feeding so my kids can have some fun. So far we haven't had much luck. It seems like once the fish come up they will only eat on the surface. I 've tried dog food about 6 inches below a cork with mediocre results. Anyone got an ideas how to catch 'em while they are feeding on top?

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color. Without a sense of urgency, Nothing ever gets done. unclefish Lunker U Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 32 KT, Texas	Update - I found some tan round foam at the BPS fly shop and cut it up into pellet size portions. I tried it last night with no luck (I think it will work but for whatever reason I never got bit when the fish came up to feed). This morning however I changed tactics....last night my son caught about 30 june bugs and put 'em in a jar. This morning I caught a 4 pound channel with my fly rod with the june bug. Talk about fun........!!!! June Bugs make a great "dry fly"....you just have to be careful not to whip the bug off when back casting. I'll keep trying new stuff and update this board how it works.
