We have a brand new pond (less than 1/3 acre, 40 ft x 50 ft x 9 ft deep). About 6 weeks ago we stocked 100 channel cat, 100 bluegill, and 10 bass. I'm not sure how much to feed them, so I've been feeding by hand, tossing a few handful at a time until they stop eating. That way I don't leave a lot of floating food in the pond water. Since we've had a warm fall, I continue to feed and they continue to be hungry.

What kind of measurement is the right measurement for that number of baby fish? Should I continue to feed them all through the winter as long as they are eating?

I've recently had a algae bloom come and go. Did that have anything to do with the feeding?
