I just purchased an aeration system for my 2 acre pond and I'm in the process of building the system cabinet/housing. Ted at Cleanponds has been fantastic and I could call him but since I've bothered him enough up to this point I thought I'd post my question here.
I have a 1/3 hp 240v compressor and fan (also 240v) and as it's suggested I use a 2-pole 20A GFCI breaker rated for 240v with a standard 20A receptacle rated for 240v, could I install a 30A fused outdoor safety switch and then a 20A GFCI receptacle?
From the safety switch I will be running about 20' of wire (buried) to the receptacle in my cabinet.
Thanks for any help or advice.
