I have seen that movie before !!! I have actually played your part. Take advice from one who has been in that story - you could have stopped clapping when they flew - waited until about the 3rd pass and clapped a couple more times and stopped. Like a bad D rated movie it will be on again in a day or two. A suggestion for next time - clap a couple times and throw a few rocks so they hit the water where they can see the splash (like bullets hitting the water). Firecrackers work well and help reduce hand pain unless you hold them to long.
