Just looking ahead a little with my recent boat purchases.

What does everyone do as far as keeping Rain water out of your boats that you keep on your ponds.

Going to eventually be draing down pond to build a dock. I'm considering possibly building a roof/gazeebo type setup to pull under. Not sure yet.

I will have a 16' pontoon, a 16' jon boat and a canoe. and who knows what else in the future.....(zip line, blob, etc.....)

Will have electric at dock. So just wondering does everyone cover their boats, pull them out, bilge them or what?????

I remove the drain plug and pull my aluminum boat up on the bank just enough to get the plug out of water. I turn my paddle boat upside down, and with the "two man bass boat" with double pontoons, when no one is in it the boat floats high enough than the plug is above the water line. Just have to remember to put it in before you use it. My other boat is in a covered stall which really helps.

Do you have a picture of your double pontoon "two man bass boat?"

Here is the type of boat that I am referring to, the term "pontoon" may be slightly misleading. I bought mine from an outfit in Oklahoma, I believe they were called Buster Boats. They used to advertise in Pond Bass, not sure if they still do, and they donated one to one of the Pond Boss Conferences and it was auctioned off with the proceeds going to the South Dakota State University Jesse White Foundation that Pond Boss members support:

Here is an article by Bob Lusk on selecting small boats:
