I have dealt with almost every variety of trash pump available. As mentioned before, go with a honda engine and watch the pump end... The mechanical seals in the cheaper pumps are exactly that, cheaper. You will see seepage from where the engine shaft enters the pump end. Hands down, go with a complete honda pump or with a wacker pump with a honda engine... You will not be disappointed. Just remember not to run the trash pump dry. These smaller pumps do not have an oil resevoir to keep the seals cool and lubricated, so they are relying entirely on the water in the pump end. If they are run dry for any period of time, the mechanical seal will heat up and leak. Good luck!!!
