I am wondering of every one can see where you catch your fish or just your friends or who you share with. I dont want people knwing my spots , thats for sure! I am checking it out, it would be good to record that type of info for my personal logs....
Goofing off is a slang term for engaging in recreation or an idle pastime while obligations of work or society are neglected........... Wikipedia

I think it says you can share it with who you want on the website. Maybe Omaha can update after he downloads it. I will download it this evening when I have more time. I don't have an iPhone but an iTouch.
After a brief look at it, you can add the friends you want. Or you can keep it just solely for your records.

I'll play around with it later today and tell you what I find out. From the title alone it sounds like a spin off Facebook, but a way to just share your fish pictures. I imagine that sharing in this app could only be done with others who have also installed the app...and friended you.

Came into some extra time this afternoon, sooner than I thought. I downloaded the app. It works much like facebook. You can search for people to add to your friends by inviting them with email, search by member name, and search by species and location.
It allows to post tihngs such fish caught, fish missed, fish activity, hot spot and others under creating a personal report.
The map allows you to define your area.
The catches can be customized to your liking to see everyone on Catchbook, filtered by most recent/comments, filtered by everyone, just my friends, just me and some advanced filtering.
I think we should add each other as friends of pond boss. It would be neat to see different reports from different members.
Some other thoughts:
I think the outdoor world is starting to use apps to its tech savvy users in great benefits. I wish it would be expanded to the Android and Blackberry devices. Maybe it will be expanded.
For people like me, I have iTouch and Android mobile device. So I could not do in the field reports.
I hope this helps. Omaha can add his thoughts too.

I have an iPhone. I haven't been able to really tinker with it yet. Wanted more information to sign up than I had time for earlier.

Looks like there's some kinks that need to be worked out. I added a few pics to my profile, but then it kicked me out and won't let me back in. Says I'm still logged in, but won't let me get past the registration page. You can look me up under Josh Milczski.

So, for winning the weekly contest, I was entered into the monthly contest. Won that too! I got a very cool shirt and the pic will be featured in July's edition of Field & Stream.
