Gill net them all, grind them up into fish meal for fish feed or organic fertilizer.
All ready being done on the Illinois River and don't forget the Omega-3 fish oil, that also is being done. This is going to be the best solution. If there is money to be made off of removing them, someone will do it. Instead of depleting native forage fish like menhaden, remove these buggers and turn them into fish food, etc...
