Regarding the sand for a beach area: There has been previous discussion here about building beaches. The botton line is that the sand seldom wants to stay where you put it. It has a tendency to slide downhill to the bottom of the pond. To be successful, you just about always have to contain it with something like railroad ties. Even then, it is tough and seldom winds up like the pristine beach that we imagine and plan.


It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
