As I couldn't find any threads about it, I just wanted to tell about a nice winter fishing computer game. It's called ProPilkki2 and it's developed by two Finnish guys. Everything happens like in a real winter fishing. You are on a lake and try to find some fish. Use your auger and drill a hole. Try to choose one of lures (smaller ones for little ones; bigger ones for predators) and start fishing. Sometimes you get lucky with the first hole but sometimes you will drill several holes until you'll find some fish. As far as I remember, there are 34 different lakes, lots of different lures and common European fish species. Perch, pike and some trout species probably are well known in USA too. The best thing about this game is that you never know how everything will end. Once there are fish in the deepest part of the lake but sometimes they are located in shallows. Sometimes they don't eat at all. Not always you'll get large fish because some smaller lakes (maybe even ponds) provide only tiny fish and larger ones are caught only in a lucky case. Game can be played in a multplayer mode too. It means that you don't play against AI bots but against real people - maybe your friends. I'll post some youtube links but you can find more simply typing "ProPilkki" in youtube.com. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rdQA0k-pIAhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yq7xtP_7wbohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CiR5Qv7AJnsThis game is freeware and it can be downloaded here: http://www.kalassa.net/propilkki2/index.php?id=1&eng=1(version 0.9). If you got any comments, questions or whatever - feel free to ask and I'll try to answer.

It's probably the most realistic fishing game ever seen. But don't forget that you may become addicted to it teehjaeh57, thanks for asking Today I had a look at them. There is the last ice on them but it's only a matter of time when it will melt. A very nice spring has already come.

Please post pics for us when you get out fishing! It's been abnormally warm in the US and we're all actively fishing...keep us in the loop please on what's going on in Latvia.
