Gambusia Lunker G Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 315 Western North Carolina	Can you lime large lakes? They are thinking of liming a large lake near me (Lake Lure, NC 720 acres). I would think liming such a large lake would be impractical?

ewest Moderator Hall of Fame 2014 Lunker E Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 22,037 Likes: 483 Miss.	It depends. What is the water flow like? If the outflow is small it can be done successfully with a lot of lime. You can also treat for limited purposes if needed in smaller areas ,like a large cove or bay.
