Great advice! I have been leaning to the floating idea. I have some aluminum floats from catfish pond areators. they are 8' long and about 2' in diameter. I am having trouble figuring how big to make the dock so that I won't overload these floats. Is there a calculation to find out how much weight they will support? How big should my dock be on top of 2 of them? Thanks for the help!
