WE aren't known to be leapers, in all the WE I have caught I have never had one break the surface while fighting them. While out on the water, I have seen WE chasing baitfish in the shallows and causing a ruckus, but this is rare compared to say a species like HSB or SMB. Sounds like with the species you have present the WE feel comfortable and are really going to town in low light conditions on your forage fish.
