I own 80 acres near Richer Manitoba. I am currently measuring and mapping out an area for a one acre pond. The area is low land and is classed as organic soil. I'll be doing a soil test in the spring but i don't think there will be a problem holding water there are so many ponds in the area already and i have a high water table.The pond will be excavated with no dam ,about 70 feet wide by about 300 feet long and about 8 to 10 feet deep at the center,no stream feeding but it will have a spillway to an existing ditch on the property.
