Yes granular CP will work on algae when it's on the bottom. When it's up the liquid works better.
My thinking is CP doesn't work as well in really hard water. My water is harder than woodpecker lips!
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.
