I have seen Robins and Woodpeckers off and on all winter. I don't know what they are thinking.
When they get hungry they will eat out of the cat food pan that we keep stocked for the Outsiders. On occasion an Outsider will kill one for lunch (rarely). Why hunt when you can lie down next to a hog pan filled with cat food and chow down until you nod off?
