Today my BG and cats came to feed. Last Sunday they wouldn't. I could be feeding trout right now if I had them!
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

At least as of tomorrow we'll have an accurate weather prognostication for the next six weeks. Ahh, at least an accurate forecast to look forward to. Gonna be shadow casting Sunshine tomorrow! Not starting a garden yet, but getting close to starting seeds inside. Another couple weeks and I'll start germinating Pepper seeds in zip lock bags to get the healthiest ones for potting, then transplanting. They take a while.

Today my BG and cats came to feed. Last Sunday they wouldn't. I could be feeding trout right now if I had them! What is up with that Cecil! The trout pond has used for male perch and female bluegills the last couple of years due to a well pump issue (has been repaired recently) and the false positive Crystal Springs had for IPN in his brown trout. This meant I couldn't get any trout from him until he had a clean bill of health which has been since last fall for all but the brook trout. (He simply needed to wait for testing for the brook trout which will be this spring. I'm good to go now once I seine out the trout pond this spring, relocate, sell or usr a significant number of male perch for the dinner table, and drain and clean leaves and organic matter out of the trout pond. I think I will also do a PP treatment to oxidize as much organic matter as possible. All my ponds containing fish are wide open now and if I had trout in the one I'm sure I could be feeding them. If I get a good crop of large brook trout this time around I should be able to net enough profit to build the pole building. I've been saving but it's been excruciatingly slow.

I'm feeding trout in my pond every day.....
But they're RBT.
He didn't get the Goldens tested either. Hopefully next year.

He told me if I want brookies the testing will be back in time to purchase them this spring. I think he said January? My only concern is how well he can sex them this time of year. I can't sell females, although I suppose a few would be insurance in case I can't get any in the future. Hatching them would be a breeze but it's typically not cost effective for the hundred or so 5 lb. fish my pond will support.

Back on topic.
We had a few cold and dreary days. 1 in the single digits. Hardly any snow at all, and it all melted today.
Back to the low-mid 40's with sunshine. A couple rainy days coming up.
The bud's on the fruit trees have started, but are still in the stage that they can handle a freeze. If warm temps persist and a good freeze happens, fruit from trees will be expensive up here this year.
