I just thought, though, that multiple species being tracked means that is one hell of a large ap to run on anything smaller than a tablet. So if you were to expand it past LMB, you would have to limit the ap to only data entry and syncing to whatever database you use. So the owner would have no idea the effect until after it had synced to the database, and then synced back to the @-home program.

So your customer would then need 3 things to make this work...a program, an ap for data entry, and a website, hosted by you or your company that could transfer the information (could be marketed as a back-up system too, which offers you another opportunity to make a profit, where if a CPU crashes, you have sourced the information based on the user's username and password, and for a small fee can sell them their backed up data).

So the user has options, they can either take the spreadsheet down to the water on a laptop, or record it manually with pen and paper, and then input into their own version of the program, or using apple or android ap, can send the data to your hosted database, which then will sync with their personal program, and backs up the data for them. So you have a remote data entry method (android or icloud ap), a remote storage and back-up facility (your website), and a program that you sell as your main product....

my marketing wheels are turning.....sorry.

The fish would stay out of trouble if it could just keep its fool mouth shut.
Turns out there is a lot I should be learning from the fish.
