Any data acquisition features?
This is actually pretty simple to accomplish with industrial control platforms. Someone who knew what they are doing could engineer and develop the application in a couple weeks.
One could develop screens for a cell phone, and that would give you access to the system from any place in the world. If you are out on a lake or pond, and need to record data, simply log in and and have at it.
If an event happens, such as a sudden shift in a parameter you are monitoring, it can be data logged as well as be emailed or sent as a text message.
With the platform I use most often, the software is free, but hardware can get a bit pricy.
I'll have an RAS example in a couple of months when the test rig is finished.
These platforms are so capable and flexible that they can be applied to virtually anything.
