cecil you are adding the alum to ground water do you add lime or not and at what rate are you adding the alum? Is alum the same as aluminum sulfate? James, The same as aluminum sulfate. I haven't added any for years as my ponds are well established with good sod around them now. Don't remember how much I added directly to the ponds but it was based on jar tests.
