I have heard people tried minnows without much luck, you think the bg would be much better? Thanks for the advice...we might try some 6lb line. We always used clear line because of the clear water but had trouble getting our pellets to stay floating, after 15-20 seconds it seemed the pellets would be floating but maybe inch or half inch under water.....just enough for the stripers to have no interest.

Would you cut the blue gill or just fish them naturally in the feeding freenzy? We did watch the stripers swim after smaller bass trying to feed on the pellets but they wouldn't 'eat' them. Maybe the smaller blue gill theyw ould if they didn't clear out of their feeding area?
