I haven't seen a horny toad in years. And very little has changed on my place in the last 30 years. However a friend 10 miles away still has them. I've also quit seeing armadillos and possums. Tarantulas and the long black centipedes are really rare and they used to be everywhere.

During the last 4 years hogs have moved in and they aren't welcome. A friend who was hunting with me last weekend popped one that had to go way over 200 pounds. I also seem to be raising a bumper crop of coyotes and coons.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
