We stock trout for forage. Stock in the fall they will do just fine in most ponds around here from Nov-June. We stock the size most desired for range of bass we are growing. In other words about half the length. So 8 inch trout stocked when avg bass length is 16 inches. I think given this 7 month timeframe very few trout survivie and when they get stressed in dying process then get eaten if they make it that long. That help Bill.
So When do bass most benefit from trout stocking is anyknown to me I just know they benefit.
It is one tool out there for growign big bass. Based on our location close to growers a good economic choice as well.
Deadwood it is a budget issue. You woudl nto stock them until the bass are bigger so fall after original bass stocking year. We woudl run a cost beenfit analysis for our client.
