Interesting discussion. I read a solar/wind energy forum occasionally, the consensus on that forum is that most wind power generation systems are junk. Common problems that wind generators seem to have are: failure to produce advertised power generation levels, excessive noise levels produced by the system, and high mechanical failure rate.
