I've posted in another area, but wanted to ask about Visqueen here.
The black visqueen we see at building supply houses is usually 6 mil think and inexpensive. I know they use it to seal off house slabs, so I can only assume that it works good and for a long time underground.
I see websites with black plastic and polyethelyne, and some is up to 45 mil thick. How long will 6 mil regular visqueen last underground? Is there any need to use anything heavier than 6 mil?
Any other thoughts, info, or suggestions will be appreciated.
