I ask my wife if we could use the new hot tub to house our pond fish in until the draught is over. She said no. Any ideas on how I might convince her to change her mind?

It's getting past summertime, and I usually see swimming pools on Craigslist more frequently in the Fall. Maybe one of those blue collapsible pools?

Just do it and ask for forgiveness later.
A new car doesn't always hurt either. Something like a vintage muscle car sounds about right.

Convince her that the fish (and what they leave behind) exfoliates the skin (or something like that). My wife would buy that so maybe yours would too.

Who's got that picture of three large carp in a bathtub?
That would convince any woman to......_____________

Rocky, have you told her that she is being insensitive and that PETA might drop by? Have you told here that you wear the pants in the family and make these types of decisions?
No? I didn't think so.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Just tell her everyone does it and here is proof. Carp in a dentist tub - good for the teeth.

Rocky...don't forget to lay down the law about the new pet ferret, too. Just tell the Missus that it's the Cabana-boy rat.

I've got a picture here somewhere that was taken during my Black Bear hunting trip in Canada. We fished too, but only caught small hammer handles. It's not in digital format. Maybe I can get my sister to scan it. There's a bunch of hammer handles in the tub and one of the guy's sons is fishing in the tub.

I had one of those back in my college days that had free roam of my apartment. As you know in the wild they hunt and eat snakes. One morning at about 2:30 am he found a snake an attacked it. My snake and it wasn't fun to get woke up like that. None the less he spent the rest of his nights in a cage.

I love that picture!! I have a ferret named ChiChi that looks identical. He did get a REAL snake that had escaped his tank and been missing for a few months. I walked into my daughter's room and he was hopping around the corn snake. The snake had little ferret teeth marks all down his back, but he survived!

Back in college, one of my pledge brothers had a pet chinchilla in his dorm room (Freshmen year). Why he had it, I have no idea. It crapped all over the floor.
At any rate, one late night, someone scooped the chinchilla up in a lacrosse stick and sent it sailing out the third floor window, never to be seen again.

It just sounds too Stooges-ish to be true. That kinda stuff only happens to Sunil.
