All, these are the best pictures of the current spawn I caught in a trap yesterday, can you please help me correctly identify their types.

Native bluegill would generally be considered the northern strain. Then again, in texas, and elsewhere sunfish are all "generic" perch.

buttercat B Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 59 ga	the one on the right or second is defintely a bg but the first picture looks almost like a sunfish or possibly a red breast they look pretty close to the sunfish at a young stage i don't think it is a bg though Last edited by buttercat; 08/01/11 11:46 AM.
