I'm in Fayette, and with this drought, the "well" idea has been tossed around...
if anyone could offer up any info about wells drilled in or around my area, maybe a contact.... ..?

Contact Bob Lusk and Mike Otto - they will know where to direct you - done this a thousand times.
PS: Great decision on the well. I'd get it punched before TX begins regulating well drilling due to the drought if they haven't already. I know I punched mine JUST BEFORE [30 days] Nebraska passed very stringent regulations on "recreational" wells. Glad I did.

Thank heavens I had put in a well. Most ponds in my area are down 3-4 feet. I am only down 1 1/2 feet.

Amen to that. I'v been pumping since June and the fish are alive, fat, and feisty. Thousands of minnows in the shallows.
And yes, the "regulators" will be after wells like hair on a gorilla.
