We have a had a bunch of rain lately and my over flow siphon kicked. My siphon pipe still trickling some water out and although it's not dumping lots of water I'm concerned that if it continues to run it will drop the pond level. I've check the pipe that creates the vacuum to start the siphoning and it is not blocked. I don't remember it continue to trickle like this, but last time the over flow kicked in it was in the winter, so I wasn't checking it closely.
How long should it continue to trickle water out?
One acre pond built in 2007.
Stocked:
Mar 2010 500 BG and 250 Shellcrackers
Mar 2011 25 LMB and one bag of FHM

How long should it continue to trickle water out?
Until the siphon is broken by air. You still might have a slight amount of water entering the pond, and if it's at just the right level, it will continue to trickle until the water is low enough to let air into the system.

I checked tonight and it has stopped.
